Kelly for Mayor, Allman for Trustee a few good reasons and many others. Vote May 6th.

Kelly for Mayor, Allman for Trustee a few good reasons and many others. Vote May 6th.

It is a pretty sad day for the people of Fishers and Hamilton County when you view many of the candidates for this year’s election. Here is my favorite a race for Judge with one candidate that has a flyer with a fake family, fake well maybe but when the Judge has one woman and three children next to him it becomes a fake family. Now he claims he wanted to show the type of people he would serve, well then he should have had 20 children in his photo not three and those three were borrowed from other judges families. So I would say his opposition Judge Hughes would be a better choice.

Mayor – The race has come down to two candidates Kelly and Fadness, if you are planning to vote for any of the others you are throwing away your vote. What brothers me the most about this race is that Mr. Fadness is bought and paid for by all the big time developers, and law firms. If elected Mayor who will he favor, citizens or developers, based on what has happened in from of Town Hall the answer is pretty clear. I can’t think of a city that would not want beautiful green space in front of their town hall, can you? The to give millions in taxpayer money to these developers is a sin pure and simple any other statement is false. If this had been such a great idea whose time had come why did they pay off the developers with tax money? Why is it that every time you turn around on business development do they give them tax breaks? If Fadness get elected we would continued to see this crazy miss matched growth, tax breaks for developers etc, the real impact will be on our school system.  Another school referendum is coming, so instead of business paying taxes it’s you and I.

Mr. Kelly would be the best Mayor out of this bunch. First he is not bought and paid for by anyone. The contributions to his race came from people. That to me is an important factor. Next I truly believe he cares a lot more about the community than does Mr. Fadness. Also lets look at his age and experience. At 69 if he wins and then runs again next year and wins the election after that he will be 74 and should retire. That gives us the chance by then to have other prove them selves in city government and have someone else run for Mayor. If Fadness gets in I fear he might be around for 20 years. Not good for a city government.  So I urge you to vote for Kelly.

The next big race is for Fall Creek Trustee. I do not understand why Mr. Jeff Hern is even running. During the City yes or no vote, Mr. Hern wanted to merge the Township with the Town and get rid of it. His reward was he would be appointed to the new City Council and maybe he thought he could be appointed Mayor in the funny city they proposed. So here we have someone who wants to shut down the Township and now claims it is the greatest thing since sliced bread and vote for me. When he took office he sold off two new donated freezers to his employees for $100 because they didn’t need them etc, now the food bank is so important etc. The use of the community building by the public has drastically been reduced. Did I say “community building” or is this something he has forgotten. But one of the worst things he has done is trying to use tax dollars to buy voting endorsements. He wanted to give the Town of Fishers $300,000 for fixing up the fire station at Brooks School road. The Town already had the money set aside, or a stunt to get the endorsement of the Fireman’s Union. It worked. Now he is telling voters he is going to build another fire station out near Cyntheanne Road, well according the Fishers Fire Chief that will be talked about in 2018 and might be in the 2019 budget. But to listen to Mr. Hern it is just around the corner. Tisk, Tisk.

On the other hand we have Mr. Doug Allman who for three years in a row on the Township Board pushed to get a tanker truck for the Fire Department to help in areas that do not have fire hydrants and have it stationed in this area, not very glamorous but very much needed. He also proposed and voted for tax cuts three years in a row, while Hern claims he got the tax cuts, ask him how he voted, as Trustee you don’t vote. Another Hern claim out the window. Mr. Allman was also the Chairman of City Yes and let the fight to allow people to have the right to vote for a Mayor. That alone should be enough to pick him over Mr. Hern for Trustee. I would have to say I “Trust” Mr. Allman a lot more to be Trustee.

One of the bad things about local elections in this area is no media. It is very hard to find out what is really going on.  So some of the candidates with lots of money have big signs. So you need to check where the money came from for the big signs, developers of course. So I would not vote for anyone who is currently sitting on the town council of purchased big signs. The current council members are all hypocrites.  They endorsed the reorganized city and wanted to take away your right to vote now they want to be part of the city. Shame on them. Then we have Block and Coble both paid for by developers.  Another bad sign is David George and his money from the Royal Tiger PAC that appeared to have gotten money form developers in exchange for advance information on what is going on in the town.  I would hope the people bring Bill Brown to the new council instead of Mr. George. Here are some of my picks: (ones not listed – no race)
Mayor – Kelly
Clerk – Winkler
NW Council Seat – Stoller
NC Council Seat – Brown
SW Council Seat – Brown
NE Council Seat – DeReamer
At Large – Heinzmann, Zimmerman, Bracken
Fall Creek – Trustee – Allman
Board – Baehl , Martin, Zagar
Delware – Board – Fain, Pierce, Schenkel
